BLACK CULT
BLACK CULT, a black metal entity, emerged in late 2013 as a brainchild of two influential figures from the Croatian black metal scene: Insanus (known for his involvement in Zvijer, Svitogor, Castrum, Unholy Inquisition, Gorthaur’s Wrath, among others) and Morbid (from Gorthaur’s Wrath and Empire Of Hell). Initially conceived as a project, BLACK CULT evolved into a fully-fledged band after the release of their debut album “Neo-Satanism” in 2014. The live promotion of the album witnessed the addition of new members, with Lesovik on bass guitar, Azaghal on rhythm guitar, and Saathaen on lead guitar, joining the ranks.
The debut album received acclaim from both fans and critics, prompting the band to immerse themselves in the recording process once again. Their sophomore effort, “Cathedral of the Black Cult”, surfaced in 2016, accompanied by a change in the lineup as Juko assumed the role of lead guitarist. The promotion of this second full-length album saw BLACK CULT gracing various stages at concerts and festivals, garnering positive reviews.
In 2018, the band embarked on crafting their third and, until now, latest album, titled “Nekropola”. However, due to personal reasons, Insanus relocated to the U.K., relegating BLACK CULT back to its project status. This shift in dynamics temporarily stalled the album’s recording, which eventually concluded in October 2019.
