In nearly ten years of its existence, the band SUTON, translated from Serbian/Croatian as “Twilight,” may not boast an extensive discography. Still, the two architects behind this sonic terror entity tirelessly worked to unveil their inaugural full-length album in 2023.

Originally conceived as a drone/doom metal project, the band transcended its initial boundaries, weaving a rich tapestry of sound on its debut album. The melancholic atmosphere, rooted in the black metal realm, intertwines with death metal riffs painted in doom metal hues. Sludge and southern elements contribute to an overwhelming sense of weight, as if relentless waves of green smoke incessantly crash into your consciousness.

Across more than 50 minutes of dark soundscapes, the “Sacrilegious” album immerses listeners in an omnipresent eeriness. Comprising five original compositions and one cover, the album serves as a profound exploration of SUTON’s sonic depth, enveloped in the heavy gloom of the Balkans.

Hylinn and Insanus meticulously crafted the album, seamlessly blending each component to provide a gratifying experience for devotees of dirge metal.
